I think about Becky often and as I reflect on my many interactions with her, I keep coming back to the realization that no problem felt too big, and we all felt more confident with Becky on our side. When it comes to work and every aspect of it, Becky was just awesome! She was always 2 steps ahead formulating a solution while the rest of us still hadn’t figured out the problem. Becky and I had our regular meeting on Monday mornings, and it really was a blessing for me to get the week started talking to Becky. I have many fond memories of our discussions but what stands out most to me is how proud she was of her athletes. Especially after a meet weekend, she would talk so glowingly and was so proud of their commitment and accomplishments. Hearing the joy and happiness in her voice made me happy. Great coaches and leaders make sure the attention is on others and not on themselves and that was Becky. She was a coach, leader and mentor in every sense.
