I met Becky because she was a member of a group that had to resolve some contentious resource allocation issues. I soon realised that if Becky was in the group there was little to worry about. She was rather quiet but she insisted that everyone be treated fairly. I admired her greatly, but it was not until I read her obituary that I realised what an outstanding academic record she had. I liked her enormously as a person and she will be sadly missed. It is a big loss for Mason.
