For us (even though we always lived several hundred miles apart), Becky was always a warm caring person as we enjoyed cooking, wine tasting and playing cards together at family visits in Deer Park as well as regular stops on our way to taking Drew to and from college.
However, Becky was so much more than just a welcoming hostess. Three years ago, when Kim was in need of a second knee surgery, Becky and Paul made a special trip to Deer Park when we were visiting to persuade Kim to reconsider his planned full knee replacement in favor of a partial to be done in DC. The results were excellent as were the great accommodations provided for recovery.
Many times, it was the ‘little’ things Becky did that showed her caring and thoughtfulness. Kim loves Blue Stilton cheese (not available locally). Becky, being Becky, picked up on this and always remembered to have it available when we got together. Every time Kim has Blue Stilton it brings great memories of Becky.
