The first time I met Becky was when she was supporting a committee I was a part of. We were introduced at the first meeting and told there would be some documentation to review at the next meeting. When we showed up the next time, Becky and team had prepared indexed notebooks for each of us; it was a *lot* of documentation, but it was prepared like a legal brief; objective, logical, easy to find what we needed. I later learned that this was just Becky: logical, thoughtful, organized. Later in the process the conversation turned to my area of expertise, so I asked Becky and team, “Did you do X? and Y?” Answer: “yes, and yes, and we also did Z”. Not “of course we did”, just a pleasant yes. I also learned that this was just Becky: competent, polite, and pleasant. I could not help but be influenced by the experience; Becky rubbed off on all of those around her, and I am a better person for it.
I leaned on and trusted Becky with hard questions over the years; she is deeply missed.
